In 2016, Devan Bonebrake founded the Southern California Golf Academy in Carlsbad, California, and then partnered with Mike Maggs in 2017. Devan and Mike are big believers in using technology like TrackMan launch monitors, PuttView Putting System, and V1 Video. Together, the tech and instruction can help students become aware of the exact areas they need to practice. The student just needs to put in the time to laser focus on these areas. This can prove much more difficult than it sounds. Beach City Golf Club was created to help golfers such as you overcome the more difficult aspects of mastering this fantastic and challenging game we love!

Hi there! My name is Jack Henneberry. I am a the Director of Instruction at the Beach City Golf Club in Hermosa Beach,CA. I have been playing competitive golf for most of my life which propelled me into teaching. My teaching philosophy entails the combination of club movement, balance, strength, mobility and skill for my key point of golf, if you understand these five golfing attributes, you can play your best golf and that’s what I help my students do.
