A GAME CHANGING PROGRAM
The first step to improvement can be daunting. There are plenty of options and plenty of questions. Where do you start? Which coach is the best? What amount of time will you have to put in to get better? That’s why we developed our Complete Game New Student Assessment.
WHAT IS A NEW STUDENT ASSESSMENT?
Golfers don’t realize they are repeating the same swing in the same pattern over and over, but if the pattern is inconsistent at impact, you will be a frustrated golfer likely forever.
One of our highly trained Coaches will evaluate your complete golf game with the help of our PGA Tour Level Technology and recommend programs that align with your goals, time and resources. If you really want to shoot consistently lower scores and have more fun playing golf, this is your opportunity to take your first step.
WHAT TO EXPECT AT YOUR NEW STUDENT ASSESSMENT
Each assessment is unique to the individual Golfer, but one can reasonably expect these aspects of a New Student Assessment to take place during your 60 Minute Session.
1. INTRODUCTION
The New Student Assessment always starts with the opportunity to get to know your Beach City Golf Club Elite Golf Coaches. This will include a discussion about your goals, physical fitness and current skill level.
2. ASSESSMENT AND REVIEW
Your Coach will perform an Assessment of your Short, mid and long iron/hybrids and Driver using Trackman and V1 Video Analysis, plus a Complete Short Game Technique/Skill Test with Trackman and PuttView Putting System. The post Assessment review will give you a thorough evaluation of your game to pinpoint your strengths and weaknesses.
3. PLANNING AND PROGRAMS
After the evaluation, analysis and review of your golf game, your BCGC Coach will take the time to give you a summary of your New Student Assessment, which will include several Analysis reports and a suggested plan aligned with your needs and expectations.
COACH JACK HENNEBERRY
Jack Henneberry (Director of Instruction) is an exceptional golf coach with a comprehensive understanding of the game. His expertise extends to all aspects, including golf swing technique, skill development, course management, and self-confidence. Jack’s coaching style is personable and effective, as he communicates clearly what needs improvement, how to make progress, and why it matters. He creates a supportive and encouraging environment for his students, fostering creativity, logic, and patience in their approach to the game.
COACH CALVIN MARANVILLE
Calvin Maranville is Class A Teaching Professional with 9 years of competitive playing experience. He discovered my true calling in golf in 2014 and have been dedicated to teaching ever since. Calvin will bring expertise, knowledge, and a deep love for the game to every lesson. Golf teaches valuable life skills like discipline, focus, and perseverance. Coach Devan Bonebrake
The founder of the Southern California golf Academy as well as the host of the #1 show the GolfFix on Golfpass and the Golf Channel.
Devan started working for Jim McLean at PGA West in La Quinta California. He began spending a great deal of time with Jim McLean and was subsequently asked by Jim to move to the TPC Doral location in Miami Florida to be his Personal Teaching Assistant.
Some of the notable players he worked with while Jim’s Assistant were Greg Norman, Keegan Bradley, Lexi Thompson, Eric Compton, and Vaughn Taylor. Devan also aided Jim in the writing of his Death Moves book in 2009. In 2011 Devan was offered a Master Instructor position at The Jim McLean Junior Academy in Dallas/Fort Worth. He spent the next 5 years helping develop some of the best Junior golfers in the country.

There is no obligation to commit to additional instruction following your New Student Assessment. If you decide to move forward with the Beach city Golf Club, you can expect your Coach to walk you through all of the necessary steps to mastering the desired skill, so that you can take your game to the next level and sustain it for years to come.
